Oh Mind, Remember This Supreme Truth

Oh Mind, Remember this supreme truth.
Nobody in this world is your own.
As you wander in this world, doing meaningless chores.
Your search is providing futile.
The flesh that you adorn today with so much care.
Is it to be burnt to ashes when life leaves it?
The lover who worships you today will not come near your decaying dead body once it smells.
Ensnared as you are in the lure of worldly pleasures.
Stop; take time to remember the divine mother.

“Old age will come upon you some day you cannot avoid it. Disease can come upon you some day and you cannot avoid it. Death will come upon you some day and you cannot avoid it. All things that you hold dear are subject to change and decay and separation and you cannot avoid it. You are the outcome of your own deeds and whatever be your deeds, good or bad, you will be heir to them.” The greatest wonder in the world is that, man while knowing that, death is inevitable and seeing people dying all around him, thinks that he is not going to die. Man continues to live his life planning to fulfill his desires and ambitions till the last day of his life, and, on his deathbed, Perhaps, Even regrets what he has not been able to achieve.  What has happened has happened for the best. What is happening is happening for the best. What will happen will happen for the best. Do not brood over the past. Do not worry about the future. The present is on. What have you brought that you have lost. What have you made, that has been destroyed. You brought not anything. What you have, you got from here. You have come empty handed and shall go empty handed. What is your's today was somebody else's in the past and will be somebody else's in the future. You think it is your's and are deeply engrossed in it. This attachment is the cause of all your sorrows. We have money, we have assets, and we love beauty............ We have all these which turn to nothing when the eye closes. These are only guests of time not eternal. When we do good, good comes to us. When we do bad or evil, evil befalls us. What happens to us in each life is a result of past reactions- Because it is a law in the physical universe that every action has a reaction.
